YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about borrowing against your luxury assets.

What is watch consignment?

Consignment allows you to place your luxury watches for sale through us. As one of the best places to sell watches you can trust us to handle the full sales process, and you will receive the sale proceeds (minus our commission) when the item is sold.

Is jewellery consignment the same as watch consignment?

Yes. Jewellery consignment works the same way as watch consignment. Consignment allows you to sell your luxury jewellery for sale through us. Average sale time and comission rates vary slighly dependant on the item for sale.

How do you determine the pricing of items accepted for consignment?

Our pricing is based on online market research, historical sales data, and the condition of the item. We set a minimum sale price, though we always aim to sell the item for the maximum price to provide consigners with the highest return.

Should I consign or sell my item directly?

It depends on your circumstances. Consigning with us offers you returns of 20% or more than a direct sale, though you have to wait till the item sells. A direct sale is likely the best option if you require immediate access to funding.

What are your commission rates?

Our commission rates vary depending on the watch, though typically, they are 15% of the sale price. Get in touch with our team to receive a preliminary consignment offer to sell your watch.

What if my watch requires a repair or refurbishment prior to sale?

If your watch needs any repairs, refurbishment, servicing, or polishing, we will likely agree on the cost with you before entering into a contract. However, you won’t need to pay for these services upfront. The cost will be deducted from the sale proceeds after our commission, or it will be payable by you if the watch is returned.

What happens when my consigned item is sold?

You will be notified within 2 business days of the sale that the watch has sold. The item is dispatched or available for collection for the buyer following our standard delivery and returns policies.

Is my item insured whilst it’s with you?

We advise you to also keep your own insurance policy active while your item is with us. Though, rest assured, your item will be fully insured under our policy while it’s in our possession, until its sold or withdrawn.

How long does it typically take for an item to sell?

Selling a watch on consignment varies depending on factors such as brand, desirability, pricing, and refurbishment periods. Highly desirable watches can sometimes sell within 24 hours, some within 7 days, while others may take months. Our average time to sale is 34 days.

How do I use your insured courier collection service?

To use our insured courier service to send your luxury watch to us, simply submit the form on this page, and ask for a courier pack to be sent to you.

What information do I need to provide to get a quote?

The information we would like to know is:

Brand: The brand of your luxury watch. We specialise in luxury brands like Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, and more.

Model: The model of your luxury watch, such as the Rolex Daytona 116520.

Year: The year the watch was manufactured.

Condition: An honest assessment of your watch’s condition.

Original Box and Papers: Include whether you have the original box and paperwork.

Photographs: Clear photos help us assess your watch quickly and accurately.

We have 3 London stores so if you wish to sell your watch in London you have the opportunity to deal with us in person.

How are the items displayed and marketed?

For an initial period after the item is listed for sale, we may decide to list the item at a price above the sale price in attempt to provide the watch consigner with the maximum return amount.

How are the items displayed and marketed?

Items are listed on our website and featured in our store window displays within 14 days of receipt, though this can often be faster depending on the item’s condition and whether any refurbishment, servicing, or polishing is required before sale. You will receive an email notification once your item is listed.

We have a substantial marketing budget and actively promote your consignment listing on social media, Google (search engine optimisation and pay per click advertising), and to our growing email list of nearly 10,000 jewellery and watch collectors.
