When it comes to the world of luxury watches, perhaps there is no better-known brand than Rolex. Founded in London in 1905, it has been a flagship in the industry kept the bar high when it comes to quality retaining value. Many of us have them, wish we had one, or at least know the major names of their ranges, such as Oyster, Time-Master, Daytona.
Everyone in the industry looks to them to set the standard, now they have a new watch that has been released this year raised the bar once more. I will explore some of the features qualities of their latest timepiece, you can decide if you want to add it to your Christmas list of gifts for yourself.

The Rolex Yachtmaster Watch

  • Name: Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master
  • Range: Yacht-Master
  • Short name: Yacht-Master 42

Yauchtmaster Features

With a 42mm face and a full swivel bidirectional bezel, this is a sailing watch that looks great on land. It has a matt black ceramic face set in 18ct white gold. As a Perpetual, it is self-winding, of course, as part of the Oyster range, it is also 100% waterproof. It is also equipped, as all Rolex professional watches are, with a chroma light display to make it easy to read. It comes with a day date dial and a 60-minute readout on the bezel.

The Action

The Yacht-Master 42 comes with the perpetual calibre 3235, which is a movement made exclusively by Rolex, so you can be sure it will still be running in 20 years if when you sell it.

Rolex Yachtmaster Review

When it comes to watches, Rolex has many popular products to release a new watch is to take a risk, as you would know, they tend to limit the production of their watches, so their value of them always stays high. To manufacture something new is to produce less of another line. That being said, here I think the risk has paid off. The main feature I see with the Yacht-Master 42 is that it is a very good-looking watch. Also given is 18ct gold; it is an excellent investment for those who are aware of how well a Rolex tend to hold its value. To me, it seems more fitting as a black-tie watch would look amazing on the cuff of a black suit.
