We’d like you to meet the people who proudly continue the pawnbroking heritage of Suttons & Robertsons for discerning moneylending that began in 1770.
James joined T. M. Sutton in February 1983. After being appointed Assistant Manager to Andrew Brown in 1991, he was promoted to Manager in 1995. James became Group Director after the sale of the group from the Mappin & Webb Group and oversees all aspects of the operation. A long-standing member of the National Pawnbrokers Association and current council member, James has been instrumental in shaping policy for pawnbroking in recent years.
Philip joined E.A. Barker (part of the Mappin & Webb Group) in June 1987 after a short term in the Army, followed by positions as Assistant Manager and Manager of two Goldsmiths Group Jewellers locations. He transferred to T. M. Sutton in 1992 and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 1995. When Robertsons was purchased, Philip moved into the role of Manager at Robertsons where he is currently based. He works closely with James Tannahill, assisting in overseeing operations for the entire group. A member of the Pawnbrokers Charity Institution since 1990, Philip has been its Chairman for the last ten years.
Michael joined T. M. Sutton in 1991 and was appointed Assistant Manager in 2002. In 2010, he was promoted to Manager and is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day branch operations. Michael is regarded as one of the UK's foremost pawnbroking watch valuers.

Andrew joined T. M. Sutton directly from school and rose to become Assistant Manager then Manager. Promoted to Director of the MW group, Andrew left T. M. Sutton to work from their Head Office, and, after a short sabbatical, he accepted a role at Hancocks as an antique diamond buyer and valuer, then was delighted to accept the position of Manager when Suttons & Robertsons opened on Old Brompton Road in August 2009.
Mark joined the MW Group in 1988 and became Manager of E.A Barker before assisting Philip Diaper in managing operations for Robertsons.
